Have yourself a merry little Christmas ...

... let your heart be light
from now on
our troubles will be out of sight

have yourself a merry little Christmas
make your Yuletide gay
from now on
our troubles will be miles away

here we are as in olden days
happy golden days of yore
faithful friends who dear to us
gather near to us once more

through the years we all will be together
if the fate allows
hang a shining star
upon the highest bough
and have yourself
a merry little Christmas right now

Gift idea

Xmas is knocking at the door ...
Looking for an individual present for friends and family? How about taking a picture which shows the initials of the person you are going to surprise. In this case I chose a colour key processing.

Apples

Apples - sweet and juicy

Currently I'm preparing an apple feature. I have been inspired by a thanks giving exhibition in botanical garden Munich which I popped in by chance. It was amazing to see and smell over 250 different sorts of apples.

Cosmea

Cosmea - As if summer could last forever

Days are getting shorter now. But there is a flower which is still prospering bravely as if summer would never end. These days I am looking at cosmea blossoms with two conflicting emotions: I enjoy the last fading summer moments but I always become somehow wistful at the same time.

Giersch / Bishop's Weed

Not just weed

This plant is not popular, especially gardeners are scared of this resilient weed. But nobody can deny the poetic appereance of its white umbels. In the last few days I enjoyed to discover the abilities of this talented model ...
Results coming soon!

If you ever will get the chance to visit this charming landlady, don't miss her delicious chutney made of golden quinces and chillies. Don't be shy and ask for the recipe. Try with tasty cheese for instance german or austrian "Bergkäse" and freshly baked wood oven bread.

Hope

by Emily Dickinson

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words,

And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm

That could abash the little bird

That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;

Yet, never, in extremity,

It asked a crumb of me.

Es war eine besondere Erfahrung und Herausforderung,

die poetische Kraft der Feder einzufangen.

It was a great experience and a challenge as well to capture the poetical power of feathers.

Asparagus

Wilder Spargel / Asparargus

Hooray, it's asparagus season.
A few days ago I cooked kind of original asparagus for the first time. Appearance and taste were very inspiring.

Ich mag den Kontrast der Farben Weiß, Grün und Pink. Sie stehen für Frische, Kraft und Neubeginn -
Attribute, die auch dem Frühling zugeschrieben werden.

I really like the contrast of green, white and pink. These colors represent freshness, strength and renewal. And that is what spring stands for.
